Activities

Besides the school sports there were lots of other activities to do. I spent the winter skiing with my second host family. This was a lot of fun and I love skiing. I also went to Aspen to ski a couple of times. Aspens is probably the best place I have ever skied so far.

I also went to Aspen during the Winter X-Games. That was so much fun. I hung out with the RYES Boris who lived in Aspen.

My third host family runs the Grand Valley BMX Track and therefore I tried BMX-ing a couple of times. That was a lot of fun to try and my host brothers are great at it like their father.

I spend a lot of time helping the Rotary Youth Exchange Committee in my hosting Rotary Club. I helped them interview and choose the outgoing RYES' (outbounds) from the Grand Junction Downtown Rotary Club.
I did also help district-wise to give inputs on the outbounds from the district.

The Chair of RYE Committee in my hosting Rotary Club got me on a Chamber of Commerce trip to the Capitol building of Colorado. It as an amazing trip. I saw the Senate and the House of Representatives of Colorado and got to meet both senators, represants the House and the Governor of Colorado.
